Homework
To make the most of lessons, it is important that students spend a little time each week consolidating what they have learned. I usually set short pieces of homework between lessons — these may include written exercises, revision tasks, or practice exam-style questions.
Although homework is not compulsory, students who complete it are far more likely to progress quickly and feel confident when it comes to the exam. Those who choose not to do the homework can still benefit from lessons, but they may need more tuition overall in order to reach the same level of readiness.
